Full Time
After my internship, I got hired full-time at Event Games. I worked on a new game that I am not allowed to talk about yet. I also updated older games with new physics and design. Besides programming, I took part in game design meetings and did external game testing.
Event Games make games for waiting at places like the cinema, concerts, transport, waiting rooms, and shops. Games are played on a big common canvas/screen, and the games are easy enough for everyone to join with little to no prior gaming knowledge.
To participate, you only need to use your smartphone. You go to eventgames.dk and enter a 4-digit game code that appears on the shared screen. Your smartphone is now a game controller, and you’re ready to play without downloading apps.
As part of my job I have used: Python, Django, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Docker, Java, libGDX, Linux, Postgres, GitLab.
Internship
I was an intern at EventGames for 3 months at the start of 2021. While there I designed and developed a new quiz administration system for one of their games. They had a system before, but it was not intuitive and in no way usable by customers. They now have an easy and customer friendly way of editing questions, themes, and previewing games in the browser.
