Firebird Games

“FRVR Studio Ursus” was restructured and renamed to “Firebird Games” in 2023. Originally a first-party studio under FRVR, we focus on instant games for social platforms like Facebook, Discord, Snapchat, and YouTube.

My primary role is client and server programming. I work closely with our artists and game designers to communicate technical challenges, limitations, and implementation options. The work culture has also allowed me to actively contribute to game design.

Key Projects & Responsibilities:

  • Platform Porting: Handled the porting of Homa titles (All in Hole, Aquarium Land, and Clean It) to YouTube, and porting Funday’s Chess Quest to Facebook.

  • New Game Development: Acted as Lead Programmer for Fun Park FRVR on Facebook, where I was responsible for code design and architectural decisions. I also developed the new title Talisbon for Discord.

  • Live Ops & Platform Integration: Maintained and developed new features for Mini Golf FRVR and Yatzy FRVR. I also helped implement Meta’s Network Enabled Zero Permissions (NEZP) API for Bowmania FRVR to remove consent screens and streamline user onboarding.

  • In-House Tooling: Developed custom development tools for the studio, including a live element editor for PixiJS, to improve iteration speed for the team.
